Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion equipment to produce high-quality plastic products. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Set up and operate extrusion machines according to specifications
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality and production efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the production process
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience operating extrusion machines is preferred
- Familiarity with basic math calculations and measurements using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools effectively
- Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills are desirable
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus
